Alan would go on to play a key role for Kings as they lifted their first trophy in 2001 with the Scottish Cup. He would enjoy a decade of success with the team lifting a further five Scottish cups and seven Scottish National League titles.

In his later years with the team, Alan also served as assistant coach to Danny Costello and often took the Club’s Lothian League Men’s team which was made up of many of its up and coming under-age players, winning the Lothian League and Cup with them along the way.

Alan served as assistant coach to Scotland U16 (2004-08) and U18 (2008-11) boys teams alongside former teammate and current Club coach, Doug Reilly.

Alan still hasn’t hung up his boots and still plays for the Polonia Phoenix Masters in the Lothian League as well as the various Masters tournaments across the UK and Ireland.
