She moved on to start coaching some of local league teams before taking over our Under 16 Girls’ National League team. In the 1997/98 season, she guided the team to a historic League and Cup double which culminated in her being named Scottish Basketball’s ‘Coach of the Year’ across all age levels and competitions. Laura continued coaching our U16 Girls’ teams until 2004.
Laura played a key role in developing many players who would go on to represent Scotland at international level.
During her time at the Club she also helped develop our table officials and tabled many a game herself as well as serving as treasurer on the Club’s committee.
