Ben Gunn started coaching Lauren’s team in Musselburgh when she was 17 and a year later, he joined our Club as coach of the Senior Women’s team and brought Lauren to Kats at the same time. Lauren went on to play in six very successful seasons at the Club which included winning numerous league titles and Scottish cups. She gained representative honours for the Scottish women’s national team and GB universities during this time before moving to Holland to play professionally for eight years. She played for Lieshout, Nijmegen Matrixx Magic and then finally Almonte Basketball. After Holland, she later returned to play for a further three seasons for Kats where they once again won both league and Scottish cup titles.
