Code of Conduct – Senior Players
- I will show respect for other club members, coaches and visitors at all times.
- I will behave sensibly and with consideration for others while at the club or representing the club.
- I will conduct myself in a sporting manner during games and look to avoid confrontation with opposition players, coaches or spectators.
- I will not demonstrate any unacceptable behaviour such as inappropriate aggression, foul language, spitting, etc.
- I will follow instructions from club coaches and officials.
- I will attend all organised training sessions or games as instructed by the coach. If I am unable to attend I will inform the coach by phone or e-mail.
- I will promote a good image of the City of Edinburgh Basketball Club.
- I will be a role model for the younger members of the club to help them recognise good performance and fair play
- I will inform the coach of any injury that may affect my performance on-court or put me at risk of further injury.
- I will treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, sex or ability.
- I will respect the coaches and will not question, discuss, or confront coaches during the session. If I want to raise an issue with coaches I will do so at an agreed time and place.
- I will meet my agreed commitment to the payment of subscription and registration fees.
I agree that if I fail to abide by the above code of conduct, I will be subject to disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to the following:
- Verbal warning by coach and/or club official
- Written warning by coach and/or club official
- Suspension or permanent exclusion of the player from the club without refund of subscriptions.
